Thank you, Todd for being my best friend and husband! I have enjoyed the last eight years together and look forward to many more years to come, You are such a kind, loving, patient man and I could not ask for anything more! Thank you so much for all you do for us, your little family and making sure we are always taken care of. I love you!To My Husband, My Life, My Eternal ValentineThis is to thank you for being by sideFor comforting and caring when I was all confused inside. This is for the phone calls you make every dayJust to tell me “I love you” every minute of the day.The way you take my hand in yoursFor all the world to seeThat this is the womanWho is most special to me.You always seem to knowWhen I need a hug, kiss or smile…You never cease to amaze meWhen you say, “I'm here…let's talk for a while.”In decades past we've had our shareOf ups and downs and problems galoreBut you are the one who remained at my sideNever thinking of walking out the door.I adore the way you tell me,“You are my forever best friend,”I love the way I believe in you…And that you will be there till the end.Thank you for all the time you give meAnd for saying, “It's never enough…”Thank you for listening as I ramble on…When things become rather tough. We are in the best years of our livesThirty four years on our journey togetherI want to grow old with you…and you with meI want to love YOU---FOREVER.JoMarie Grinkiewicz
All I can say is that, being a parent is the greatest gift of all and that no matter how old I get or how grown up my kids are, everything I do and say from the day a child is born to the day they die will affect their lives. Children are always watching and listening, even when you don't think they are. I know from personal experience, I was talking to Todd about a family member the other day not knowing that Kadee was listening until she told my parents about the conversation.
How do you say to your child in the night?
Nothing's all black, but then nothing's all white
How do you say it will all be all right
When you know that it might not be true?
What do you do?
Careful the things you say
Children will listen
Careful the things you do
Children will see and learn
Children may not obey, but children will listen
Children will look to you for which way to turn
Co learn what to be
Careful before you say "Listen to me"
Children will listen
Careful the wish you make
Wishes are children
Careful the path they take
Wishes come true, not free
Careful the spell you cast
Not just on children
Sometimes the spell may last
Past what you can see
And turn against you
Careful the tale you tell
That is the spell
Children will listen
How can you say to a child who's in flight
"Don't slip away and i won't hold so tight"
What can you say that no matter how slight Won't be misunderstood
What do you leave to your child when you're dead?
Only whatever you put in it's head
Things that you're mother and father had said
Which were left to them too
Careful what you say
Children will listen
Careful you do it too
Children will see
And learn, oh guide them that step away
Children will glisten
Tample with what is true
And children will turn
If just to be free
Careful before you say
"Listen to me"
